Active Campaign Email Verification Integration

The integration with Active Campaign will allow you to import your Active Campaign lists into TrueMail and send the validation results back to Active Campaign.

Getting Started

To get started with this integration, login to your TrueMail dashboard and select “Import list” on the right of your dashboard. It will open a modal window showing a list of integrations on the left.

If you have not used this integration before:

Under “Add Integration” you will see a list of possible integrations. Scroll down and find the one you need. Click on the Active Campaign integration and you will see fields input your Active Campaign API Key and URL on the right.

Please follow the instructions mentioned in the link (https://help.activecampaign.com/hc/en-us/articles/207317590-Getting-started-with-the-API#how-to-obtain-your-activecampaign-api-url-and-key)  to create application-specific API URL and Key.

If you have already connected this integration:

You can see the list of integrations you have already connected to under “Current”. Select the Active Campaign integration to see a list of your lists.

Importing a List

After you are connected to Active Campaign, you should see your Active Campaign lists. Select one and click “Import List” to begin importing your list. When the list is imported, it can be analyzed and validated.

Sending the Results Back to Active Campaign

When you’ve completed validation, you can send the results back to Active Campaign by clicking the blue sync button near your list name called "Update your integration list". 

Where I find my verification results?

During the export process, we create a custom field named “TrueMailValidationStatus” to store the TrueMail validation result (valid, invalid, disposable, unverifiable, and unknown). You can find more about each status here

Disconnecting Active Campaign

You can reconnect your Active Campaign account anytime by following these instructions:

Click “Import list” from your dashboard. On the left you see “Active Campaign” under your current integrations. Hover over “Active Campaign” and see a white broken link icon to the right. Click on the icon and the integration will be disconnected.

FAQ

My import has been processing for a while, how long does it take? Why isn’t there a progress bar?

Usually importing takes several minutes for a few thousand contacts and upwards of an hour for larger numbers of contacts.
